Distant view from neighboring apple orchards. |

Located within a 400 tree apple orchard in Kezar Falls, Maine, the house's owners--Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hopper--wanted to take advantage of distant views of the peak of Mount Washington to the northwest. Designed in collaboration with my brother-in-law, Greg Graham, the house plan was configured in an L-shape with one leg of the L directed straight at the peak of Mt. Washington. A double-height living room with expansive glass terminates this leg providing a commanding view of the orchard and Mt. Washington beyond.
