the concept for the new museum at giza is a stone box recessed into the desert to accommodate natural cooling captured from the vast night sky while reducing surface area from the radiant desert sun by providing a large shading screen for the entire building and covered drop off....ancient egyptian's concept of time was called zep tepi or first time.......this 25,920 year cycle provides evidence that the ancient cultures were master astronomer's mirroring the night sky into their cultural values and building programmmes...our design proposal considers this great year cycle as a spatial strategy.
